CRANBERRY JUICE HELPS HDL (GOOD) CHOLESTEROL
A study reported in the British Journal of Medicine shows that low calory cranberry cocktail consumption helps with weight, triglycerides and with HDL cholesterol. All three are risk factors for heart disease. HDL INCREASED 8%
THE EFFECT WAS MAXIMUM AT 500ML/DAY.
OVER 3 MONTHS AVERAGE WEIGHT DROPPED 2 LBS, SOME DROPPED 4 LBS.
The study was done on obese men who had a waist measurement that put them in the high risk group (see Metabolic syndrome.)
Cranberries contain flavinoids which are known to be heart healthy.
